BYU Management Society Scholarship
Application Forms Available for 2018
The scholarship committee of the BYU Management Society is pleased to announce that applications are now available for scholarships to be awarded in June 2018.
As with prior years, applications will be accepted from two groups of applicants:
(1) graduating high school seniors, and
To qualify, applicants must be either a senior in high school or a recently returned missionary (returned within two years). All applicants must also be residents of San Diego County.
(a) The scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors will be of two types: (1) James Huish scholarships, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and service to church, school and community; and (2) BYU Management Society academic awards recognizing academic achievements, outstanding service to church, school and community, and also a demonstrated financial need. In past years, these awards have typically been $400 for academic awards and $1,500 for scholarships. Scholarship funds are raised through donations and fund-raising activities, so the number of scholarships awarded and the amounts of the awards will vary some according to the funds available.
(b) The Gertrude Martindale scholarships awarded to returned missionaries are of varying amounts. In the past they have been between $500 and $2,000.
The committee recommends that students request the forms soon, since there are several parts to the applications requiring time and effort to complete. The deadline for submitting the applications is April 20th.
